If you think it is impossible to feel your hometown’s soul in South Korea, I am sorry but I should say that is a big delusion. Sometimes a scent, a flavor can carry you to your childhood streets which you belong, despite it is thousands of miles away. And Cheonan city is a paradise with large variety of international restaurants when you desire a familiar taste.
This is my way to feel like in my country at the meal times of the day. Here you are:
Le Pommier – Yummy Breakfast
A good day starts with a good breakfast. If you can’t think the breakfast without a hot drink (tea, coffee) and pastry, Le Pommier is going to be great option. This bakery offers their customers diversity of pastry products. Pies, cupcakes, sandwiches, croissants, scones… It isn’t easy to decide what to eat among such as many choices. Isn’t it enough to remind you home? Then, take a look at homemade style jams and breads either. And the bakers bring into the open their skills through cake ornamentation. Le Pommier doesn’t serve you a nice experience with only tasty foods but also with warm-blooded staff and likeable decoration. After a breakfast in Le Pommier like in old days, you are ready for the day.

Swoyambhu Restaurant – Banquet of Spice at Lunch
Well, I am from a country where spice is one of the main factors in its cuisine. To us, the life is unbearable without it. So, I have been seeking spicy foods everywhere I have gone. This is the reason why I like Indian foods. Many different kinds of spice, chili sauces, ‘naans’ (traditional Indian bread), curries, kebabs these Indian foods have too much similarity with the meals I have eaten since childhood times. A few days ago, I got a chance to have a delicious lunch at Swoyambhu Restaurant in Cheonan. This restaurant is near Cheonan Station and easy to find. The venue is unassuming, pleasant and decorated with traditional colorful Indian accessories, it makes you feel like entering into a Bollywood movie. The menu is very rich. However, I am going to talk about particularly ‘chicken tandoori’. It is a roasted chicken meal that is served with green salad, lemon and some special sauces known as ‘pudina chutney’. If you want to make your lunch more tasteful, Samosa (fried patty filled with vegetables or ground beef) would be my advice.

Gontran Cherrier (Artisan Boulanger Paris) – Tea Time with French Croissant
Let me describe! After a tiring day, wishing for a refreshing drink with may be a slice of cake or chocolate cookies… Yes, I know that feeling. And I know also the address where to go in Cheonan, when you feel like that. This place could give you that you need. That address is Gontran Cherrier. With its overly pleasing products this place is much different than all the other bakeries. Fluffy croissants, fresh breads, several types of cookies, mouth-watering cakes… Everything in here attracts you. Not only you but also other people who live nearby the bakery. As a natural result of this, products are sold out earlier than end of the day. By the way the foods are not only thing which fascinates you. From chairs to chandeliers, furniture and other materials are extremely stylish as a whole, the atmosphere is pretty elegant. Thanks to a cup of coffee with a pie, Gontran Cherrier makes your day.
