An event that can remind us of the meaning of the March 1st Movement, “Accomplish, Continue”
Mar 14, 2019

We will be having a wonderful event on March 16th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cheon-An Sinbu Cultural park for the 100th anniversary of the March 1st Movement, “Accomplish, Continue”. Shall we look for further information?

This event is provided for all citizens to share the spirit of the Independence Movement through cultural art contents and experience programs for the anniversary of the March 1st Movement as well as the 100th anniversary of the Korean Temporary Government establishment.

The event will start with the 32nd Division military band parade and will continue on with a dance performance from students and the general group, celebration performance by bands and hip hop groups, the magic show by Show-how Entertainment and will end with the closing concert by the Cheon-An city Orchestra.

At the advertising booths, there will be an exhibition of the patriotic martyrs Gwan-Sun Yu, Dong-Nyung Lee, Byung-Ok Cho, and other significant Independence Patriots.

We can see cartoons and caricature of the historical facts of the March 1st Movement. Inside the container box at the event, there will be a documentary of the life of the Independence Movement representative, Gwan-Sun Yu and an MBC documentary “1919-2019 Record of Memories”.

Not only these, but there will be more fun and exciting events! You will get a chance to make a calligraphy frame from written words about the March 1st Movement by other citizens, experiencing how to draw digital caricatures, making your own canvas bag (eco bag) using silk screening and other great programs.

Among our fun programs, there will be a “Cheers” game where we will challenge whoever gets the highest decibel from yelling “Three Cheers for Korean Independence” and playing Korean independence-themed gigantic Jenga as well. This event is meaningful, especially because it is planned and propelled with Cheon-An city’s young adults’ groups, women with no work experience, and women entrepreneurs.

The event will be proceeded on that day live also via Facebook. To watch the event, you can visit the Cheon-An cultural foundation Facebook and can check out the close details of the programs at the Cheon-An cultural foundation website.
